Beginning Sunday, March 07, groomed roads in Yellowstone National Park will begin to close to over-snow vehicles so that spring plowing may begin. Roads close at 9:00 PM on the date listed:

March 07 - Sun	Mammoth to Norris Junction
March 09 - Tue	Norris Junction to Madison Junction, Norris Junction to Canyon
March 14 - Sun	All remaining groomed roads close to oversnow vehicle use

In conjunction with these road closures, visitor facilities in the park will also close for the winter season according to the following schedule:

March 06 - Sat	Last night for lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel
March 07 - Sun	Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room closes after breakfast; Mammoth warming hut closes at 5:00 PM
March 13 - Sat	Last night for lodging at Old Faithful Snow Lodge
March 14 - Sun	Old Faithful Snow Lodge Dining Room closes after breakfast; Old Faithful Geyser Grill & Gift Shop close after dinner; Madison and Canyon warming hut snack bars close at 5:00 PM; Old Faithful, Fishing Bridge and Canyon fuel stations close at 5:00 PM

The Mammoth General Store and Mammoth Clinic remain open year round.

The road from the North Entrance at Gardiner, Montana, to the Northeast Entrance at Cooke City, Montana, remains open year round to wheeled vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to call park headquarters for current information prior to traveling to Yellowstone at: 307-344-7381.
