Are you still planning on climbing the Chittenden side of Washburn? We have already been to Cabela's in Kansas City & bought 2 cans of bear spray. I just hope to get close enough to shoot some w/my camera, not the spray. I'm still wishing I could climb up one side of Washburn & down the other, but my main goal is reaching the top.
The geysers & thermal features of YNP don't really trip my trigger after you've seen them once, but I LOVE the wildlife. Have you driven the Beartooth before? If not you will love it. We drove it out of YNP in '06 & plan to drive the Chief Joseph on the way in to YNP this time. Are you going to the Tetons?? Have a great time.
